REVIEW: GT Bleaching Cream

I've always been on the lookout for cheap yet effective products, it be locally or internationally. I personally choose the former as it is synonymous to cheap, right? And so I've come across this product, GT Bleaching Cream from GT Cosmetics. I first got introduced to this by my aunt. She's actually using it on the darkspots on her face. She said it was effective, the only thing bad about it she said was that her skin reddens, and it sometimes stings. These things were actually normal when you use their products. And so upon hearing this, I got swayed and bought myself one in SM Department Store. It's cheap, spending only Php 155 for a box. You can see the actual picture here, posted in their page.

I wasn't actually planning on putting it on face, because I can say that I pretty much have blemish-free face and I'm scared on over-applying creams on my face that I won't look like my age anymore, right? Even though the cream claims to be have an anti-ageing formula and all that. But that's my preference! :) It's normally for the face so forget what I just said! The cream is actually yellowish, really creamy-thick and almost odorless.

I've read that the proper procedure in applying this is by: (you can also follow the manufacturer's direction here)
1. Cleaning the problem area, by washing it with or without soap
2. Drying it and putting enough cream evenly on the skin
3. Repeating these steps for three consecutive days.

So easy, don't you agree? I do it on night time, makes it more hassle-free. I also use not-too tight clothes. I advise using sleeveless ones so it won't get irritated that much. On the 4th and after-4th days, I just waited for it to peel. It stung but not to a point that I could not take it anymore, only a little. I apply anything but the cream, not even deodorant. Good thing I have no BO on casual/normal days. Of course, excluding the days when I sweat myslef to death playing sports activities or at times when it's really hot! Haha! Also, when I take a bath, I use mild soaps and simply put lather on it, careful not to rub and all. So.. here's a picture of my UA skin about to peel off. (Sorry for the very eww picture. LOL) You can see how dark my underarms are! :(

The white spot in the middle was the point where it started to peel. I'm an impatient person so I peeled it off totally. It is really advised to let nature do its things, and let it peel off by itself. I just couldn't wait any longer!! And so after only a day or two, this is how my UA looks like!!

The peeling hasn't stopped yet but you can see a really big change, right? The lines were a bit red but anything else, pretty much looks okay. I thought my UA is hopeless and that I would need a help of a professional dermatologist at par with Dra. Vicky Belo! I just don't know however how to maintain this. The brand said that it is again not advisable to not use any products that aren't part of their line. In any case, do you have any advice, girls?

In my opinion, the cream is really effective, I just don't know whether this magnificent UAs will last long! :|

Update: AHOY! I already contacted GT cosmetics on how to maintain my underarms and here's what they said:
"Hi there! Thank you for trusting GT Product. It is important to exfoliate underarm even for at least once a month to avoid accumulation of dead skin around your underarm. Doing so may help lighten your underarm and prevents you from having chicken skin. Please do not apply GT Bleaching cream if you are planning to have a waxing treatment on your underarm. Give at least 1 week interval before and after waxing." - GT Cosmetics

See they are really that concerned to their avid customers! Thumbs up!!
